Priority 1
Education Funds
We believe that many children’s health and education are two important elements for creating a better and peaceful society. In developing countries, those two elements are lacking.
This project is to provide resources which will enable students with good performance, both academic and ethical, from low-income families in developing countries, such as Thailand to continue with elementary education and stay off of the streets.
By partnering with local schools in Thailand, MW Children Foundation will provide resources and funding for high-performing students from poverty level families attending school. We focus on the children of elementary and middle school ages. A few qualified students may also be part of Priority 2 - Scouts to Scouts in Thailand.

Wannawit School Project.

Volunteer team in Bangkok helped with the process to identify the qualified students with an interview on December 17, 2016. We have more than 20 great students in need at this school.

Priority 2
Scouts to Scouts Program
This project is to bring together local Texas Scouts (Houston area) and Thai Scouts for unique learning opportunities and to exchange Thai/Texan Cultures (with the program called “Scouts to Scouts”). The Texas Scouts pay their airfare, and MWCF will provide for their sustenance and their program in Thailand.
We believe in building good citizens and leaders more than one child at a time. We also believe through cooperation and by providing this opportunity for our Scouts to join and share their culture/experience together, it would help the children to have a better perspective in life and how to live together in harmony.
Our foundation will provide funding for overseas trip/Scouts to Scouts activities in Thailand (may expand to other countries in the future). The funds will cover place to stay, food and local transportation in Thailand, including some activities.
Qualified Scouts initially just from Texas who join this program will need to meet some requirements and have permission from parents to travel with the Scouts chaperones.
UPDATE: 2023

We will continue to work on our second project, "Scouts-to-Scouts." We look forward to your continued support of this mission of cultural exchange in a meaningful way.

UPDATE: 2021-2022

It is with heavy hearts we share the news of the closure of the Wannawit School in Bangkok, Thailand.
After 76 years of teaching and giving great opportunities to many students in need, the school is closing this semester (early 2022.)
It has been a long battle trying to keep the school up and running while the number of students kept decreasing, especially given the COVID-19.
Honoring all the teachers at Wannawit School, MWCF will continue searching for new opportunities to help underprivileged students in Thailand. We will keep you updated on our new student initiatives and look forward to your support.

Once again, thank you for your continuous support and to all donors and sponsors in the United States, remember your donations are tax-deductible.
